Nominate a Trailblazer for the 2026 Women’s History Month Panel

Do you know a woman whose strength, leadership, and service have made Perth Amboy a better place?
Now’s your chance to honor her story.
The Perth Amboy Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking nominations for inspiring women to serve as panelists at our 2026 Women’s History Month Celebration. We’re looking for women who embody courage, community, and compassion—those who have led with heart, lifted others, and persevered through challenges.
Eligibility Criteria
Nominees must meet the following requirements:
- Connection to Perth Amboy:
- Has lived most of their adolescent life in Perth Amboy
- Community Impact:
- Has made a positive and demonstrable impact in Perth Amboy through civic engagement, education, mentorship, leadership, volunteerism, advocacy, or other forms of community service.
- Positive Role Model:
- Exemplifies integrity, leadership, and serves as an inspiration to others in the community—especially to young women and girls.
- Availability:
- Must be available to participate as a panelist during the Women’s History Month Celebration in March 2026.
- Story of Perseverance:
- The nominee exemplifies someone who has overcome obstacles in their life.
Selection Process
- Nominations will be accepted from community members through an official nomination form.
- All nominations will be reviewed by the Perth Amboy Library Board of Trustees Selection Committee.
- Final panelists will be chosen based on the evaluation rubric below.
- Selected panelists will be notified in January of 2026.
* The nominee does not need to speak English to be selected.
